M.I.M.O.S.A.,Experimento 01, performance
M.I.M.O.S.A. is a thought-provoking interdisciplinary performance that uses the unique properties of the Mimosa pudica plant to explore the themes of migration, displacement, colonialism, and the consequences of captivity on all species. A storytelling from migration of humans and non humans from the global south embracing the feeling of not belonging into a disenchanted land. As an attempt to tell this story both humans and mimosas are place in glasses, between captivity and freedom. The performative dance conference unveils moving living plants and still humans in vitro to present colonial histories intertwined with personal traumatic memories within the violences from the South wondering: What are the consequences of captivity to all species? How do we learn ? What can we learn with touch?
