Guilherme Peters

Roll–in

The title of the work refers to a manoeuvre where the skater in motion enters into a skate-park without stopping. The performance begins when Peters turns up the amps and starts skating in the street. The microphone captures the sound of friction between the skateboard and the pavement. The sound is transmitted and amplified within the exhibition hall to a volume of 40 decibels. Peters lives and works in Brazil and his performance creations are a cross between skateboard-culture and art.
