Man hearing the worth and Narcissus
The man in black is a metaphor of power in the capitalistic world and the struggle of the human condition. This performance works with live improvised sound as the personification of real time and life and takes it to the next step where the conflict of human existence faces its absence. In Narcissus the man in black is placed in an office environment. A typewriter personifies a nostalgic, old fashioned and redundant technology. Sound and action takes the performance to a point where the myth of Narcissus is subverted and instead of a mirror the man faces the blank image of technology.
