Thais Di Marco
0UT SPOK3N B$Cht%%, performance
0UT SPOK3N B$Cht%% is an ongoing research that explores corporeality of Romani women, often labeled as “inappropriate,” “mouthy,” “debauched,” “foul-mouthed,” and “dangerous” - “Outspoken”. The work delves into the concept of “moral madness,” a term describing the experiences of artists and activists while confronting hypocritical structures. And honors the anti-assimilation and anti-absorption contributions of Roma cosmovision in the struggle against militarized national states. The research was done through a dialogue with various artists of Roma descent participating in an “ethnic coming-out” - a collective movement that intends to understand and make visible Roma ancestral legacy in decoloniality.
